The Outcome
The video series garnered about 390,000 views across both Japanese and English versions. #HelloGlobalGoals received approximately 59,200 engagements on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Blogs, and YouTube, marking a 76.8% increase from the previous counting period.

:: Social Media Monitoring
Pull up your Google spreadsheet.
This global campaign was launched across all UN and Sanrio social media platforms, such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Mirjam and I were responsible for monitoring the social engagement to measure the performance of this collaboration.
🔥 Challenge
The team depended on an outdated data tracking and management system, which involved manually entering social media engagement numbers into Google Sheets and performing calculations by hand. This method carried a significant risk of errors due to its manual nature.
🧯 What I did?
Even though there weren't many readily available options for switching to a data management platform, I invested time in utilizing my Excel skills and suggested a revamp of the database. I sorted and organized the sheet, implementing formulas and shortcuts to enhance efficiency along the way.
:: Communication Design
Make sure the world knows.
After a successful event, it's important to create a detailed report to highlight our achievements to a broader audience. Sharing this report on the UN website will help spread awareness about our team's efforts to promote the project's goals and message.
🔥 Challenge
As an intern at the United Nations, it can be challenging to meet the organization's strict guidelines when writing for the website. Understanding the weight of responsibility and the impact of your work is crucial.
🧯 What I did?
Don't shy away from asking questions. My experience at Disney taught me that a large organization should have clear communication guidelines readily available. So, I reached out to my manager for references to assist me with the wording for the press release.
:: On-site Operational Support
Game set. Ready to lunch.
The United Nations hosted a flagship event for the #HelloGlobalGoals collaboration, featuring an exhibition at the UN Headquarters in New York City showcasing the video series and the Hello Kitty x SDGs franchise.
🔥 Challenge
The UN Secretariat building has stringent visitor regulations, so getting the construction team inside required obtaining clearance from the security team. Moreover, we faced a tight timeframe due to disruptions in the supply chain.
🧯 What I did?
I made sure to allocate 30 minutes in advance to check in and meet with the security team, ensuring we were aligned with logistics. Additionally, I had a checklist ready for receiving the construction team at the dock.
